1.「We’re playing it by ear this summer.」
意味：
今年の夏はその場ノリで決める予定
例文：
A: Do you already have summer plans?
B: Not really. We’re playing it by ear this summer.
TIPS：
“play it by ear” は「状況見ながら決める」の超ネイティブ表現。旅行予定トークでかなり自然。

2.「We’re hoping to squeeze in a quick getaway.」
意味：
なんとか軽く旅行行けたらいいなって感じ
例文：
A: Are you taking time off this summer?
B: Yeah, we’re hoping to squeeze in a quick getaway.
TIPS：
“squeeze in” は「なんとか時間を作る」。忙しい大人の会話でめちゃくちゃ使う。

3.「I’m overdue for a vacation.」
意味：
そろそろ休み取らないと限界
例文：
A: You look exhausted.
B: Yeah, I’m overdue for a vacation.
TIPS：
“overdue” は本来「期限過ぎ」。ここでは「休み不足すぎる」のニュアンス。

4.「Flights are ridiculous right now.」
意味：
今、航空券めちゃ高い
例文：
A: Why aren’t you booking yet?
B: Flights are ridiculous right now.
TIPS：
“ridiculous” はネイティブが価格の高さにかなりよく使うリアル表現。

5.「I’m saving up for summer vacation.」
意味：
夏休みに向けてお金貯めてる
例文：
A: Why are you cutting back lately?
B: I’m saving up for summer vacation.
TIPS：
“save up for 〜” は旅行・留学・買い物など幅広く使える超実用表現。

6.「We’re aiming for somewhere off the beaten path.」
意味：
定番じゃない場所に行きたいんだよね
例文：
A: Are you going somewhere popular?
B: Not really. We’re aiming for somewhere off the beaten path.
TIPS：
“off the beaten path” は「穴場っぽい・観光地すぎない場所」の定番ネイティブ表現。

7.「Everything gets so expensive in summer.」
意味：
夏って何でも高くなるよね
例文：
A: Why not travel in August?
B: Everything gets so expensive in summer.
TIPS：
航空券・ホテル・テーマパークなどの話でかなり使いやすい。

8.「We’re trying to make the dates line up.」
意味：
みんなの予定が合う日を調整してる
例文：
A: Did you decide when to go?
B: Not yet. We’re trying to make the dates line up.
TIPS：
“line up” は予定・条件・タイミングが「うまく合う」時によく使う自然表現。

9.「I just need a change of scenery.」
意味：
とにかく気分転換したい
例文：
A: Why do you want to travel so badly?
B: I just need a change of scenery.
TIPS：
直訳は「景色を変える」。でも実際は「環境変えてリフレッシュしたい」の意味で超自然。

10.「We’re making the most of the long weekend.」
意味：
連休を満喫する予定
例文：
A: Any plans for the holiday weekend?
B: Yeah, we’re making the most of the long weekend.
TIPS：
“make the most of 〜” は「最大限楽しむ・有効活用する」の定番表現。
